lyrics

She won't cut the balls off her pit bull
No matter who it bites
She loves that dog the way it is
And she loves to watch it fight

She's got hair like a kudzu vine
Smothering a tree
She uses it to hide her face
Each time she talks to me

She's always been a genius
Loves to coin a phrase
Tells me that she loves me
Like she's asking for a raise

She's always dancing
To a Sousa march
Like a drunken man at an old parade
When it's getting cold and dark

I wish you hadn't left me by the side of the highway
Gotta walk 30 miles just to use a cell phone
I wish you hadn't left me with a hostile stranger
I wish you hadn't told him that my home is his home

We had sex in a public park
Till we were mauled by dogs
She could not stop laughing
But I was kicking logs

She's got hair like a kudzu vine
Smothering a tree
She uses it to hide her face
When she's telling lies to me

I wish you hadn't left me out in North Dakota
With the slow-ass talkers and the glowing corn
I wish you hadn't told him that my home is his home
I wish I had protection from a lightening storm

about

Feierman Durham, North Carolina

I got my start playing guitar and singing in Portland, Oregon's Surf Maggots in the early '90s. Since then I've played in the Lulus, the Last Nerves, and finally, with the Durham, NC band Honcho with Ed Hurt and Simeon Furman.

"Liver Transplant Coolers" is, strictly speaking, a Honcho record, I've released it under my own name because Honcho is no more.

Expect a true solo e.p. in November.
